Tips and Advice

What’s the best way to learn about wine?

If you’re into wine I’m sure the thought of signing up to a course has already crossed your mind…

And you’re right, learning about wine really will help you understand it better and in turn enjoy it more.

As you may know, I’ve been working in wine for well over 20 years and I’ve had the pleasure of also teaching people about wine.

To date I have taught well over 9,000 people many of which are wine professionals, but with Intovino, I’ve realised that while most of the courses created to date are OK for professionals, they’re completely INADEQUATE for wine enthusiasts.

Nose and Taste of Wine

Having a bunch of theory thrown at you to digest is OK when the you HAVE to learn to obtain the certificate you need to get your next job, but not when when you’re learning out of passion.

It’s actually a very poor way of learning!

People learn about wine through great experiences…. Not the other way around: You get great experiences from learning..

This is why we’ve decided to add VR and interactive videos to The Art of Wine course.

It’s also why we’ve added wine samples as well as wine scents and tastes.

The Art of Wine is a course for neophytes who want to sharpen their understanding and appreciation of wine.

It’s a course where we’ve brought together all the best wine learning experiences:

  • Winery and vineyard visits
  • Exercises to develop your sense of smell
  • Exercises to develop your palate
  • Guided wine tastings
  • Q and A sessions
  • Multiple short videos
  • Interactive video exercises
